How to Find out what Firmware is Your Sony PSP Running

1. At the bottom left corner of the PSP there is a "Home" button. Press it to get to the start screen.
2. Next, use the left arrow key (press it several times), to get to the "Settings" column.
3. Now you must go to  "System Information" - so press the down arrow until that icon is selected, and push the "X" button once.
4. The PSP will display the system information - you're interested in the value shown for "System Software", which represents the firmware version.
